PANA, Ill. (WJPF) — Skeletal remains were found Saturday during a search for a missing Carterville man.

Daniel “Danny” Crosby hasn’t been in contact with his family or friends since February 27, 2020. He was reported missing to the Carterville Police on March 18, 2020.

The skeletal remains were found in a field near the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Pana, Illinois in an area northeast of the last known location of Crosby. The remains showed no obvious signs of trauma. A forensic review will have to take place before a positive identification of the remains can be made.
