A DeSoto resident has been charged with the murder of a 76-year-old man.

Prosecutors say that 52-year-old James Deese strangled Frank Stonemark in October of 2017.

Deese is also charged with concealing Stonemark’s death knowing that he died as the result of a homicide and moving Stonemark’s body with the intention to hide information about the manner and place of his death.

Deese is currently being held on a one million dollar bond.

A preliminary hearing is set for early April 2018.
